1. Eligibility
The PubQuiz.com weekly general knowledge quiz and the Big Boxing Day Pub Quiz is open to all guests aged 18+ attending participating Stonegate Group venues. By taking part, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. How to Play
Players join the quiz by scanning the QR code displayed on venue screens. This links directly to PubQuiz.com, where you must register or log in, then play using your mobile device. One player per device. Internet access via personal data or the venue’s WiFimay be required.
3. Fair Play & Conduct
All answers must be your own. Use of search engines, AI tools, other teams, or any external assistance during the quiz is strictly prohibited. PubQuiz.com and venue management reserve the right to disqualify any player or team suspected of cheating or interfering with gameplay.
4. Scoring & Winners
Scores are calculated automatically by the PubQuiz.com platform based on speed and accuracy. The player or team with the highest score at the end of the quiz will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, a tie-break question or randomised draw may be used. The venue’s decision is final.
5. Prizes
There is a national prize of ÂŁ1000 for the team in 1stplace, ÂŁ500 for the team in 2ndplace & ÂŁ250 for the team in 3rd place. Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and winners will be contacted after the quiz. Prizes may be subject to local restrictions (e.g., excluded dates, responsible drinking policies).
6. Technical Issues
If the quiz is disrupted by WiFi outages, device issues, battery failure, or network interruptions, PubQuiz.com and the venue are not responsible for lost progress or inability to submit answers. If the platform experiences a major technical error, the venue may cancel or reschedule the quiz at its discretion.
7. Data & Privacy
By registering to play, you agree that PubQuiz.com may process your name, email and gameplay data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Stonegate Group venues do not access or store your personal data from the platform.
8. Behaviour & Venue Rights
Standard Stonegate Group venue rules apply during the quiz. The venue reserves the right to refuse service or entry in line with licensing conditions. Abusive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour may result in disqualification and removal from the premises.
9. Photos & Promotion
Venues may take photos or videos of quiz events for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to appear, please speak to a member of the team on arrival.
10. Changes or Cancellation
PubQuiz.com and participating venues may change quiz formats, questions, prizes, or timings without notice. Quizzes may be cancelled due to staffing, events, private hire, or technical issues.
11. Liability
Neither PubQuiz.com nor Stonegate Group accepts liability for personal loss, damage, injury, or disappointment arising from participation, except wherecaused by negligence.
